The Louisville Slugger® MLBHMYG maple baseball bat is perfect for the youth player who desires that classic wood-bat feel. It's crafted with high-quality maple, a close-grained timber, which has a similar structure to the layers in a laminated bat. This means the bat is more durable and less prone to flaking.
The bat is much like the CF4 (including the drop) except for apparant better technology in the core. My son had been borrowing a CF4 for the entire season and was hitting better than he had been with his 2009 DiMarini Vendetta, which of course is not a full composite bat. We considered purchasing a CF4, but he really liked the look of the CF5. The bat required the usual break in recommended by the manufacturer, but other than that my son loves it and is hitting as well as he was with the CF4.
ReplyDeletereally nice bat. looks and performance. my son is 11 and loves this bat. the crack off the hit is nice. he had a 18oz and went to the cf5 20oz he is used to it after a few days of work outs.
